Let me share with you about Heidi Cox. I had started with a young 21/22 year old personal trainer that was not very encouraging and kind of made me feel bad about the way I did or didn’t do something and because of this I was ready to call it quits. Then the before I could quit, the gal quit and Heidi introduced herself and we talked and I told her I wasn’t sure about continuing on. We were getting ready to leave on vacation and she told me to think about this and we wouldtouch base when I got home. 3 weeks later we did, and I finished out the last 3 or so sessions from the other gal. I liked Heidi right off. She listened to me, encouraged me, acknowledged and accepted my no evenings away from my husband policy, and before I knew it, we were working together and becoming fast friends. In the 2 or 3 years she worked with me, we laughed, cried, hugged and sweated. If she moved back to Wasilla tomorrow, I would be one of the first, if not the first, in line to start working out with her again. “Thinks about the whole person”

With Heidi, you get what you give. If you give her your honesty about your weight loss or fitness goals, she’ll give you what you want and need, and a little more. Heidi was my weight loss/fitness trainer seven or so, years ago. My goal was weight loss and she helped me lose a lot of weight. Heidi was more than a trainer to me though; she was also my therapist, nutritionist and cheerleader! She knew when to push me physically when I didn’t think I could. She knew I liked to mix things up so I wouldn’t get bored. My body changed a lot; I loved the muscle definition I had and curves in all the right places. She let me vent about struggles I was having, and never made me feel alone or ashamed of those struggles. She even let my husband join me for a few workouts. He’s a 6’6” former basketball player and Marine; who sweat and worked harder at those workouts than in some of his basketball workouts/drills. I never wanted to let Heidi down, I knew she planned workouts from work and home. I still use those workouts from time to time, along with some go to recipes that are simple and fast to prepare. She thinks about the whole person; all their needs, strengths and weaknesses, and does a great job to give them the results they work to achieve. Thank you, Heidi, for all the sweat, out of breath workouts, dancing, goofy jokes, recipes, love and care you gave me all those years ago! You are great at what you do!
